Split from Emery County

[edit]

Many of the histories of this region indicate that the construction of the railroad along the Price River and development of coal for the railroad led to demographic changes which prompted the Utah Territorial Legislature to split Carbon County from Emery County. I hope the sentence I added convenes this adequately. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yintercept (talkcontribs) 22:19, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Section on Utah politicians

[edit]

Thanks to for the addition of J. Bracken Lee. I set it off under a separate heading. If anyone has a better heading than Notable Utah politicians, please insert it. Also, it would be good to add former state senator Mike Dmitrich to this list. In addition, since Carbon County's politics and voting patterns are historically unique from the rest of Utah, they should be mentioned, as there is plenty of research to back up this up. Removed Paper Towns

[edit]

I forgot to fill out the edit box, so apologies. But if you look at the citations (sets of coordinates in Google maps), you see that these two "towns" are a cell tower next to a mountain peak, and an empty field just outside Price, respectively. They're paper towns, they don't actually exist. 73.65.146.100 (talk) 21:52, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
