This is a one-line sub-stub on a lawyer. The entire article is: Joyce Elaine Roop (1952-1995) was an attorney and environmental activist. Not notable, and not long enough to warrant keeping. Harro5 22:37, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)

Read it again. She was front page news once. (comment by User:66.245.226.92)

Boston Globe obituary, January 30, 1995. (comment by Wellreadone)
- I don't see that in their achives. --Etacar11 00:27, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Search it on Lexis. As a lawyer for Ralph Nader, she forced the coal fired power industry in the Northeast to spend more than a billion dollars on scrubbers. (You live up there, don't you? Your air is cleaner because of Roop. Doesn't that deserve a Wikipedia?)

What is a "Fourtildes"?
By the way, the Globe's obituary search only goes back to 2001, which is why you didn't find it. Roop was in the news a lot back in the 1980s, testifying in Congress and suing the utilities over acid rain.
Thanks for the tip. My first time on Wikipedia, so I have much to learn.

By the way, how does one "vote" on deletion? Can't figure out what that means.
- If you are new, your vote may be given less weight. Anyway the standard formula is '''Keep''' or '''delete'''. Check out the Guide to Votes for deletion too. Kappa 01:01, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
