What kind of tons

I could only guess what kind of tons were used. As the truck was used in Canada for a time it's conceivable that what I've labeld short tons were really metric tons. --ospalh (talk) 11:00, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Max. load?

In the lead section it says "operating capacity of 320 tons", in history it says "it hauled loads of over 360 tons". How can that be? --ospalh (talk) 11:01, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Thats becacase rated capacities are partially based on volume and different rocks have differing densities& bulking factors, (hence special bulk bodies being used for coal). Real capacity is not always the manufactures specified figure, and you can load more on but risk increasing wear & tear rates. Tyres are the weak point hence the Titan having 3 axles as technology was not as advanced at that time & why the modern Cat 798B & Liebherrs can cary more, ad it weighs less with only two axles. - BulldozerD11 (talk) 11:08, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
