[edit]I disagree. I think her actual birth year is 1973 based on two sources:
1) People Magazine, as shown in the "Press" section of her official website, where it states she is 28, as of mid-2002.
2) A teen magazine issue, circa 2001?, where Keiko's senior prom was stated as taking place in 1991, which generally happens in the year you turn 18, thereby supporting the 1973 birth year.
Is the material in the article copywritten? --12.151.32.25 08:21, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
According to the December 1, 2002 In Step With, Parade Magazine Keiko was born on October 31, 1979.
[edit]I got all this information from the December 1, 2002 In Step With Parade Magazine interview. Yes, her birthday is October 31, 1979. It said so on Parade magazine...and I trust Parade more than on imdb.com. I can't believe you guys actually thought she was born in 1973. I mean that's such a big age difference. Keiko doesn't even look like she is 31. She looks more like a 25 year old.

- There are plenty of other references to her being born in 1973 — here, here, here, and here. I don't think there's any reason to disbelieve these claims. (It's quite possible to look younger than you actually are — some actors make quite a good career out of it...) -- Vardion 21:09, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
Parade magazine had an interview with Keiko Agena. Why would she lie about her age? imdb is wrong. she is 25 years old. (Kyla 23:53, 18 August 2005 (UTC))
why don't you look at Parade magazine and see for yourself? Maybe it's just a mistake...and people keep following that it's October 3, 1973. whatever it is i'm changing to 1979 because it makes more sense...and I believe Parade magazine than some crappy internet source. (Kyla 23:58, 18 August 2005 (UTC))
here's proof..she is 25 years old!!!!! it's on the bottom under facts..
(Kyla 00:07, 19 August 2005 (UTC))
- Why is this magazine, whatever it is, more likely to be correct than several websites? Unless she's actually quoted by the magazine as to her age, there's no reason to suppose they actually asked her — they could have followed the wrong source just as easily as anyone else. (And why is the Filmbug website "proof", when the others are just "crappy internet source"?). If you like, we can list the year as disputed (I just did), but I see no reason to just accept one claim at face value and reject the other. -- Vardion 06:46, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with Vardion on this issue. IMDb can be considered a reliable source via the web because it can be updated frequently. A magazine however, would have to publish a correction in their next issue to sort out a problem if it's even caught. Is there any way to reach a 100% sure answer as to which date is correct? --Nenuial 18:34, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Controversy about Keiko's age!
[edit]There seems to be a controversy about her age. I hate magazines that lie! they suck....i hate everyone that lies...how am I ever supposed to trust reading a magazine again? If information on magazines are wrong, then what's the point of reading them? You read them b/c it's true...Now who's going to read the tabloids...maybe all of it is untrue. I guess I'll never know..gossip is stupid and boring...who wants to know a celebrity's life anyway? There's no point. (Kyla 19:34, 3 October 2005 (UTC))
Official site supports October 3rd, 1973 birth date
[edit]Go to http://keikoagena.com, which is her official site to the best of our knowledge. Click on FUN. Click on FAQ. Then click on FORUM, (but make sure you have done all the previous steps exactly as some links seem to be a bit off.)
It says she is 32 years old on the myspace website that her official site links to which means she had to be born in 1973. Additionally, it says she is a libra which happens to support the October 3rd birth date as opposed to the October 31st birth date.
Please consider that magazine articles will now and then get information incorrect concerning someone famous (or infamous). I've seen it done before. However, since Keiko's official site links to a myspace which gives the above information (the 2nd paragraph in this discussion I made), it's best to assume it correct until her official site decides to make a statement saying otherwise.

Real Name?
[edit]Over at Keiko's website, her first name is Christine, and her middle name is Keiko. What gives?--BigMac1212 01:05, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
