User talk:AndyCapp
Hi AndyCapp, I listed your article list of countries by IQ on Wikipedia:votes for deletion, because I think the statistics are what we call on the Wikipedia "patent nonsense" (I've explained why on the deletion page). This is a slightly unusual case, however, as you've cited a published source and, if it was correct, this is an encyclopedic (if somewhat distasteful to me) topic. Go and have a look and if you wish to leave a counterargument please do so. --Robert Merkel 14:35, 6 May 2004 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:050120Haier fig2 lg.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:050120Haier fig2 lg.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 20:44, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of -ware
[edit]The article -ware has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Keφr 17:12, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
