looks more like it's about a 'scene', or the 'word', than the music... Blair P. Houghton

It's very much to do with a 'culture' rather than a particular genre of music (although a genre of music does go with the culture), and it was a very frequently used term in the UK during the 1980's and 1990's, sometimes derogatory, sometimes celebratory (depending on who was using it and when). As such I don't think the article needs renaming, and I don't think it should be NPOV disputed either. It just needs to be edited a bit. I'll do some when I get the time! The article should probably give some prominence to the association between "crusties" and the free party scene from the 90's to present day. In particular, people who might - perhaps pejoratively - be described as "crusties" remain the driving force behind the majority of hardtek and gabba parties in the UK.

I feel this artical is rediculouse for many reasons. Most of the statemens made have no refrense, back up, and are in my opinion incorrect. The artical has a massive undertone to suggest it was written by some one outside the crust scene, and feels more like it is a member of the indie rock scene that has writen it. Much of this information is not true as well as it is already stated in crust punk, where it should be.24.68.232.96 10:39, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
