[edit]I'm confused. Since I have never to my knowledge accessed or read teh page I allegedly copied.... In actual fact, I wrote the entire article with no reference to other sources. As an ex-member of eh SDA church, I regularly (once a year) doorknocked around my local area, collecting for ADRA. What I wrote was essentially my recollection of the information we were taught to give to anyone who aske "Who or what is ADRA, and what does it do?". So even if the text somehow turns out to be the same as one web-page (which I still haven't accessed or read), then teh information and wording is actually public domain, and no copyright violation would be possible anyway.
Dear confused
[edit]Your right, it seems that 144.139.5.57 replaced what you wrote with the glowing description from ADRAs main site. I've put your orgininal back on the temp page, so it should get back to the real page soon. --Terrible Tim 11:57, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit]I think its time to put the subpage back as the article page. I'd do it, but I don't want to break protocol. --Terrible Tim 14:11, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Tikuferanji (Why are we dying?)
[edit]ADRA Malawi produces a soap opera called Tikuferanji (Why are we dying). The ADRA Malawi website has reproduced some news articles about this program. It began as a radio drama and has developed into video. The show has won awards. Sources, outside of ADRA, seem very limited.
This section is for the collecting of sources that profile Tikuferanji:
- Why are we dying? - Tikuferanji
- “Tikuferanji” takes new turn ('The Daily Times' - article)
- Tikuferanji on Luntha TV (reproduction of Daily Times and Nation articles)
- Communication for Social Change (CFSC)
- "Currently the only local soap offering entertainment on MBC TV is Tikuferanji, an Adventist Relief Agency (Adra) production."

- Volume 38, Issue 2, pages 113–120, June 2007
- "This study uses data from the 2004 Malawi Demographic and Health Survey to assess the reach of selected radio programs about family planning and health in Malawi and their effect on condom use and discussion of family planning. The results show that such radio programs in Malawi reach a broad audience: eight of the 12 programs were heard by at least half of the respondents, although women were less effectively reached than men. For both women and men, the radio programs were found to have a significant impact on family planning discussion with one's partner. The programs’effect on condom use was limited, however. A positive association was found with ever use of condoms, but no association was found with condom use at last intercourse. This limited impact suggests that such radio communication campaigns need to be informed by research identifying the specific constraints to current condom use in Malawi."
- "...Following this trend, the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has been airing several radio programs on health and women's issues, including Tikuferanji, Pa Mtondo, and Umoyondi Chitukuku M'Malawi (Dzama 2003; One World 2003)."

Country Offices List seriously incomplete - fixed
[edit]The table with the list of country offices contained less than one third of the country offices in existence, and a number of the websites included were obsolete. I have updated all but one or two (which I couldn't find) and added the other countries which have websites. THe headquarter office website also includes the North American regional office, and the very major United States country (donor) office. Some have no separate website that I could locate, even major players such as Russia, Nigeria, Venezuela, Zambia and Mexico.I have listed these after the end of the table. A search for ADRA with the name added will bring up references to them. ADRA-Latvia is better known as ADRA-Baltic States, and caters to Estonia and Lithuania. Why part of WikiProject Australia?
[edit]Why is this article included in the WikiProject Australia, and the Australia Portal? ADRA has a major office in Australia, to be sure, but it is global, and the International HQ is in the United States. Seems odd. Ptilinopus (talk) 09:24, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
