"Turn it Loose"
[edit]Umm... My Significant Other CD doesn't have Turn It Loose. Are you sure this isn't an error? I also checked the track listings on Amazon.com, and Amazon.com agrees with me. I'm removing this track from the the list. Viltris 00:16, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
"Edited Cover"
[edit]What happend to the "Parnetal Advisory" cover that was on the page. Do we have the PTC working for wikipedia. Every LB ablum has the "Tipper Sticker" expect "New Old Songs" which should be changed. Could anyone tell me why ASAP thank you. TG 50 16:58, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Limp Bizkit Significant Other.jpg
[edit]Image:Limp Bizkit Significant Other.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Article page name change
[edit]I think the Link should read something like "Significant_Other_(album)", and not just "Significant_Other", which can be easily confused with it's cousin Significant_other's article. If this can be changed (I don't know) and somebody minds to (I don't), could someone fix it?

Significant Other → Significant Other (album) –: To avoid confusion due to something as simple as capitalization, I feel that this redirect should be the other way around. Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 07:50, 4 June 2012 (UTC) Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 05:25, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. WP:PRECISION encourages disambiguation by detail, parenthetical disambiguation only when "natural disambiguation is not possible". The title should be the actual name of the subject as it is referred to in real world English, at least to the extent that this technically possible. Kauffner (talk) 10:08, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- You did read point #2 of that guideline, didn't you? In addition, a similar discussion occurred here. Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 00:15, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- I quoted point #2. Of course I read it. See also: "Titles of distinct articles may differ only in their detail. Many such differences involve capitalization, separation or non-separation of components, or pluralization: MAVEN and Maven; Red Meat and Red meat; Sea-Monkeys and SeaMonkey." Someone looking for the album is looking for the phrase "Significant Other", so that is the most recognizable title. Try googling Significant Other (album)" -wikipedia. Virtually no one is referring to the subject this way, although there is a YouTube video that calls it "Significant Other [Album]". Amazon is selling a Significant Other [Explicit] and a Significant Other (Clean), but no "Significant Other (album)". Kauffner (talk) 01:31, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- True, no one is referring to the subject that way...outside of Wikipedia. Why do you think we have disambiguation? Several articles have "(album)" in the title. Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 06:26, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- The WikiMedia software can't support multiple instances of a title, so we need a workaround. It's a bug, not a feature. I certainly hope it gets fixed in the upcoming release. Kauffner (talk) 07:09, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

- Support There is no valid reason to oppose this. It's pretty much standard for album articles to follow this naming convention. Ridernyc (talk) 07:32, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
- No, it is not the standard at all. The parenthetical "album" is only used when disambiguation is necessary. Jenks24 (talk) 12:12, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. These 'disambiguation by capitalisation' RMs are always pretty subjective, and in this case I feel capitalisation is enough as long as there is a hatnote. People who type 'Significant Other' into the search bar will probably not be that surprised to come to an article about a proper noun. Jenks24 (talk) 12:12, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Significant Other → Significant Other (album) – Between possibly being a search term for the subject currently at Significant other as well as being ambiguous with the subject at Significant Other (play), moving this article to Significant Other (album) and replacing the redirect which will be leftover at Significant Other with a disambiguation page listing all three of the aforementioned articles targeting the leftover redirect to Significant Others will best serve our readers when looking up this term with a capital "O". - (Nomination statement updated. Steel1943 (talk) 14:34, 2 March 2020 (UTC) )
- Oppose for similar reasons to previous RM above. Pageviews indicate this is the overwhelming WP:Primary topic versus Significant Other (play), and it's unlikely large numbers of readers looking for significant other are needlessly capitalizing that O (WP:DIFFCAPS), especially since they get about the same number of views. For the few who do, the hatnote already in place is sufficient. Station1 (talk) 02:35, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- Comment. There is a DAB page at Significant Others, which has entries also for "Significant Other". Significant others redirects there, so we're not doing a WP:DIFFCAPS for the plural form. It would seem confusing to duplicate that content on another DAB page.
- We can only guess, but I think it quite likely to search for Significant other with initial caps O, and of course, those imperfect searches add to its pageviews.94.21.238.148 (talk) 05:57, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
- ...Okay, then I'll update my proposal to redirect Significant Other there (since I'm sure that's what I meant, but somehow didn't catch or type.) Steel1943 (talk) 14:34, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
