This category is wrongly named, it should be "Scottish Lochs", the word is universally understood and used, I've never heard of a Loch being called a Lake.
sort of agree, but I can see how this fits in with an international lakes category, and of course there's one lake in Scotland (and ok, the lake of Menteith is so-called after laigh rather than laken). Sea lochs being included makes it sort of odd, I'll leave that to the geographers to sort out - dave souza 06:22, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)
