Creating Articles w/ Categories
[edit]Good work creating new articles. When you create things, it helps tremendously to assign them to an accurate category (see WP:CG for info). If you're really not sure about categories, at least assign your new articles a stub category (see WP:SC for info). By assigning a category, you help make sure your new articles don't get lost as 'orphans' that are not associated with related topics. Feco

Short AMG link
[edit]Hi. I was just wondering how did you get this short AMG address in The Covers Record article? Jogers 09:49, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- You have to log out of your AMG account. Maybe there's an easier way, but I don't know about it. Darkhorse82 10:20, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm going to use this from now on. Jogers 10:53, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Theism and Evolution
[edit]Hi, there's a ongoing controversy being discussed in Template talk:User theistic evolution (the dispute includes reversions and accusations of Bad Faith). Since you created that template, maybe you could share your view about it. Bye. --Leinad ¬ pois não? 08:56, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think you've already addressed the obvious flaws in the other person's argument. However, I'm gonna change the text in the template to "This user believes in the premise of theistic evolution." Why? Because userboxes should present a belief or a fact - not an opinion. "This user accepts.." is an opinion, and it may offend those who hold opposing views - or even those who don't, like myself. Non-theistic evolutionists should change their templates accordingly. Of course, this is only one person's opinion. I'm not gonna go around making radical changes to templates that are irrelevant to me. But--personally--I don't want userboxes on my page suggesting that "I know, and you don't." Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]Category:Howling series has been nominated for renaming. A discussion is taking place to decide whether this proposal complies with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. The file File:Mark O'Connor.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Low resolution selfie uploaded for use on uploaders since-deleted user page. Unlikely to have future encyclopedic use. WP:NOTWEBHOST
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ★ Bigr Tex 01:36, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
