Appearance
Article Billy Corish listed on WP:VFD Apr 25 to May 2 2004, consensus was to delete. Discussion:
- Seems to be the classic example of someone writing an article about himself. -- Tjdw 03:28, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Ugly, but it can be cleaned up. I listed it on Cleanup. RickK 03:30, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Agree with RickK. If the facts are straight (and anybody's ever heard of this guy), this just needs hard cleaning. A. J. A. DeWitt 05:22, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. The Parliaments article doesn't mention him, and zero hits for "Billy Corish", or even "Billy Corrish". There are hits for a William/Bill Corish, but he's an engineer, not a musician. According to this article[1], The Delcords were founded by Ed Generette and Dave Bupp. Smells like complete fiction. Niteowlneils 20:01, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- FWIW, I have added to the Talk page, the text of an email I received from a person claiming to be the original contributor of the article. Doesn't really change my vote, unless some of the claimed potential verification material is added to, or referenced by, the article. Niteowlneils 21:52, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Weird. Hard to tell for sure if it's ficutional or not, but unfortunately it seems unverifiable. Note that Corish has been added to P Funk, but is not in List of P Funk members. Delete unless verified. Isomorphic 04:25, 26 Apr 2004 (UTC)

- Delete. Remember the comment someone made in an earlier VfD about a "universe of falsehood"? I think it's significant that the allmusic.com article on Parliament (in both incarnations) doesn't mention him, and the only google hits for "Billy Corish" are wikipedia-derived. It's possible it's legit, but at the very least, he wasn't brushed with greatness enough for it to actually stick. Postdlf 4:40 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Delete if not verifiable. Alcarillo 07:48, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- OK, after checking this one out, I've gotta admit it looks fake. Make it's just a plain and simple hoax? Some cool guy 00:22, 1 May 2004 (UTC)
