Hi my name is (obviously) Rob Siddall.

I have been a Wikipedia fan for years but I finally decided to start making serious contributions today (April 22, 2005).

I live in Toronto Canada. I am an IT professional of many years' experience. I am also a sailor and a musician.

Areas I am interested in (and know something about):

1. Sailing
2. Computer History
3. Ontario geography and history
4. Music, especially Barbershop and other a cappella

I also intend to do a lot of minor edits, especially to articles that appear to have been written by people whose first language is not English. This is just one of my little fetishes and I hope the original authors do not take offence. I'm well aware that there's a danger of subtly and unintentionally changing the meaning of the sentence in question, especially when the original language is ambiguous. Feel free to let me know when and if you feel I'm guilty of this.
