Moved in presumed public domain resource text from http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/legionellosis_g.htm to create this article.
I was about to come here to post that much of the article came from http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseaseinfo/legionellosis_g.htm, but here I see that the author has said as much. Is this material actually public domain? If so, I'll revert my deletions. -- Zoe
- I think it is public domain. See here, which I think applies to the source to this article. Tokerboy
- generally all U.S. federal govt publications are in the public domain (it ought to be--the public paid for it!), though that's not the case for the *state* governments (not in the public domain, though the public did still pay for it), and governments sometimes arrange with private companies to reuse their info online. At a federal govt site, in absence of a copyright statement, I would assume it to be in the public domain. (at e.g. the u.s. dept of state site, everything w/o an explicit copyright statement is in the public domain). Koyaanis Qatsi
Thanks, Toker. That's what I was looking for. I'll revert the article. -- Zoe
Legionellosis is the right name and this includes two forms:
- Legionnaires' disease
- And Pontiac Fever
