Criminal infobox

[edit]

I feel like this article should not be using the Infobox criminal template. From that template's description: "Infobox criminal is rarely used where notability is not due primarily to the person being a convicted criminal". Suge is notable primarily for being in the music industry. If he was not in the music industry he would hardly be notable enough for a wikipedia article. Does anyone object to changing the infobox? murder of 2pac and biggie

[edit]

this section is biased and in favour of debunking the poole theory. more space dedicated to the kading and philips counter argument than to explaining all the details and characters involved in Poole's/Frank Alexander's/Michael Moore's arguments.

For example, Frank Alexander did a documentary after Before I Wake or whatever where he and Michael Moore basically explain on the night of the Tyson fight when Pac was killed, they were told by Reggie Wright NOT to carry weapons with them. Michael Moore, who was the only person who defied orders and carried a gun, was repeatedly told not to body guard Pac and to head to CLUB 662. Moore was another body guard who was accompanying Reggie Wright (head of DR security) that night, said in the documentary that he heard someone on the walky talky say "GOT HIM." Alexander and Moore also explain that Reggie Wright who was an ex cop for Compton, also had a father (Reggie Wright Senior) who was working on the police force at the time and involved in the Pac murder investigation. Reggie Wright Senior was paying at a gas station when another car pulled up and killed someone in the car Wright Senior was with -- someone named McDonald.

There's also no mention of Kadafi's death two weeks after Pac was killed. Kadafi told cops he could probably point out the driver of the vehicle which was used to killed Pac. No mention of Mario Ha'mmonds who was incarcerated with Suge at the time and claimed Suge bragged about getting Biggie killed (Ha'mmonds recalled, Knight said, "'You're from up north, right, man? You fuck with Felix and them, right?' I said, 'Yeah.' And he mentioned Christopher Wallace — Biggie Smalls — and he say, 'You know, that fat punk is giving me a lot of lip and a lot of shit on the East Coast. You think you can handle it?' By 'handle it,' meaning, can you arrange or do — assassinate — Christopher Wallace, Biggie Smalls? I told him no." Knight seemed very disappointed: "He say, 'Aww, I thought you was hard, man.'"

Hammond's also claims Too Short and E 40 asked him why he was hanging with Suge when he knows he was responsible for Pac's death.

Very little said about the connection between DR and David Mack who was seen by Frank Alexander at DR parties and who owned a black impala SS -- the very car in the biggie smalls murder, Kevin Gaines who died in a famous incident involving another under cover cop and who was dating Suge's ex wife, and Perez. All of them, except Gaines who was killed, were corrupt, serving sentences and associated with Suge's Death Row. Biggie's security guard Deal also claimed he saw David Mack the night Biggie was murdered as well as Harry Philips aka Amir Muhammed (who visited David Mack in prison using a false address, false social security number and an out of service phone number -- Amir Muhammed also caught a case where he supposedly pointed a gun at his ex girl friend and her boyfriend who were shot to death sometime later (see rollingstone article).

Stuff like this is totally missing and if you're not going to include it, at least balance out the section so it doesn't seem like Death Row and LAPD dudes are the editors and trying their hardest to disprove the Poole/Alexander/Moore/etc theory. User:70.79.143.139 00:13, January 20, 2015

The section should be removed. Wikipedia isn't here to host conspiracy theories. -Xcuref1endx (talk) 11:03, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
7 years later and the article is still bad. This section is mostly devoted to discussing various unconfirmed theories and barely even mentions the facts of the case or Knight's role in it. Ashmoo (talk) 10:23, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

SN arrested for murder in LA/Compton, Jan 29/30, 2015

[edit]

The usage thus far of "Los Angeles police" or "Los Angeles-area police" is confusing, as Compton is a separate municipality from Los Angeles. When NPR reported on this incident, they said that it was the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that arrested Knight. LASD's article indicates that Compton is a part of its patrol responsibilities, though it doesn't explicitly state that LASD provides police services for Compton (Compton's article does, however). On January 29, 2015, Los Angeles-area police arrested Knight on suspicion of murder. Knight was believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run that left one dead and another hospitalized in Compton, California, earlier in the day.[51] Close friend Terry Carter was killed. The second victim, Cle Sloan, was minorly injured.[52] Witnesses said Knight tracked some men he had argued with at the Straight Outta Compton film set to a burger stand parking lot, and the collisions looked intentional.[53]

The 4th sentence needs to be edited to say "The second victim, Cle Sloan, suffered minor injuries."

2015 Arrest: odd sentence

[edit]

In the above section lies this sentence: Killed was Terry Carter, co-founder of Heavyweight Records and a friend of Knight. Killed was? Should it not be Terry Carter……was killed.? Or: The victim was Terry Carter, co-founder…? I am not fixing this today because the VE is laggy, I'm getting off soon, and I don't know if this sentence is of purpose or fulfilling some part of the MOS I don't know about. Death Row Records section, C. Delores Tucker citations needed

[edit]

Under the Death Row Records section: In 1995, he ran afoul of activist C. Delores Tucker, whose criticism of Death Row's glamorization of the "gangsta" lifestyle may have helped scuttle a lucrative deal with Time Warner.

This statment was at one point controversial spawning a lawsuit[1] and without source should be deleted; however, C. Delores Tucker in pertinence to Suge Knight is relevant, therefore as they are not referenced elsewhere in the article reworking this is better than deletion.

The lawsuit regarding contractual interference with Time Warner has probably reached a resolution, and a definitive source or quote regarding the time warner claim would benefit this section.

Parole Eligible Date

[edit]

In the article's opening paragraphs:

He is scheduled to become eligible for parole in October 2034.[5]

In the section Prosecution on charges of voluntary manslaughter (2015–2017):

As of December 2018, Knight is incarcerated at RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, and will not be eligible for parole until July 2037.[98]

Both references point to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), but the first one has the CDCR Number in the link: BH6458

   https://inmatelocator.cdcr.ca.gov/Details.aspx?ID=BH6458

As of this writing, the website returns:

   Parole Eligible Date (Month/Year)	10/2034

So it appears the date in the article's open (October 2034) is correct, but later in the article (July 2037) is not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.104.141.56 (talk) 13:55, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
