[edit]We have found quite a few rock formations buried in clay near Hartford, CT. Each one is a round disc with concentric circles on one side and a raised concentric circle on the other side. The size ranges in diameter from about one to 3 and a half inches. If anyone has information leading to its identification please respond to sbaldwin333@yahoo.com. Thank you.
- Have you received any response to this question? - A photograph of the feature would be useful. - Ballista 16:49, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Replace the top image?
[edit]Would anyone object if I replaced the top image of ooids with this one:
It has a scale and shows the shapes of the ooids better. Thanks for considering. Wilson44691 (talk) 19:53, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
It's a nice picture - but isn't it the same as this one, which is already in the article?

- Yes. I meant to move it up and replace the other. Sorry -- that is a bit confusing! Wilson44691 (talk) 20:49, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- I was just coming back to say I thought I must have misunderstood! Yes - by all means swap them over - it's a nice clear bright picture, I think it would definitely improve the appearance of the article. DuncanHill (talk) 20:53, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
