Talk:Met (Mega Man)
Mega Man ZX
[edit]someone should really include some info about metools in mega man zx Goatshi
- I have my MegaMan ZX with me now And I'll post the Metool entries I got from there via the Database Files
- Powmettaur
- This giant Mettaur moves about by jumping around despite its enormous size. It was designed as an amusement park mascot, but ended up being converted to a Mechaniloid [Source: Megaman ZX Database/Enemy A/File 8 Found as Disk M08]
- Remettaur
- A factory began to produce these special Mechaniloids on Slither Inc.'s request. Their helmets protect them from attacks and upon exploding, they will release smaller versions that run around and blow up. [Source: Megaman ZX Database/Enemy B/File 473 Found as Disk E47]
- Pattrolaur
- This security Mechaniloid was designed and developed by Slither Inc. It wears a helmet and appears in great numbers thanks to factory overproduction. [Source: Megaman ZX Database/Enemy B/File 30 Found as Disk E30]
- The Remettaur seems to be a Variation of the Fission Metool seen in Megaman V.
- The Pattrolaur weilds a form of energy nightstick and appears to omit the standard gun and take two shots from noncharged buster shots from the X or ZX from. Also the Pattrolaur's behavior is to pop up and look side to side and then pop down. If it spots an enemy it turns on its siren and strobe and charges nightstick chopping. Also Unlike most metools The Pattrolaur is white with a yellow strobelight atop its head [strobe is clear until it goes into chasemode then becomes yellow] Zelinko 06:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Gameplay
[edit]The Strategy section should go. Wikipedia is not a how-to guide. --Boco XLVII 05:23, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I took that out right away. Why didn't you do so..? -ZeroTalk 17:52, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

- ...This list... ...is exceedingly helpful! Thank you, Boco!! Now I don't have to bother the Hell out of Auto. XD ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 00:27, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Cactus Mettaur?
[edit]There seems to be a new type of Mettaur in Mega Man: Powered Up. It looks like it wears a cactus that shoots spikes at you not unlike the hedgehog enemies in MM3. Click here to a picture of it. There's also a picture of some Pickerman enemies in the game here. - NES Boy 02:56, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Naming conventions
[edit]Why is this article cited as "Met"..? The common usage is Mettol, and should be as such per wikipedia's naming conventions policy. -ZeroTalk 22:55, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure than Metall, Metool, or Mettaur is commonly used for these robots. Capcom seems to switch between these names irregularly. Every Mega Man fan I've run across calls them Mets. I have the original american NES instruction manual for the first Mega Man game and the robot is also refered to as a Met, although american instruction manuals in the NES era tend to have errors. --EisenKnoechel 05:19, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have the simple answer to this question.
- Japanese: Metall
- American: Met
- This, of course, going by the names used in Rockman Rockman and Mega Man: Powered Up.
- Hope this helps!
- Oh, and on a semi-related note...I'll be redoing the whole page as soon as I can, similarly to how I redid the Sniper Joe page. ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 00:24, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
EXE Mettaur Section
[edit]It appears this article is lacking anything about EXE's mettaur species. There are quite a few of them, albeit recolors, they act differently from each EXE game to the next. (Some (Normal) Mettaurs gaurd in one version, than stop gaurding in the next, than gaurd again in the next game) Also they are slightly different than the Classic and X varieties. - Dude who's account won't work, Balladofwindfishes
