So User:SchroCat, please explain how a wikilink to, say, Macmillan Publishers, is useful when checking a reference to a book published by them. The fact can be useful, I agree, but in what way is the link useful? Colonies Chris (talk) 11:40, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh good, the same conversation for the third or fourth time. I suggest that you go back though the previous threads and glean the answer from them. There is little benfit in wasting time and effort in going over this yet again. - SchroCat (talk) 11:44, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(BTW, I presume you were trying to ping me? If so, that's not a format that works: {{U|SchroCat}} is probably a better template to use). - SchroCat (talk) 11:47, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Which previous threads are you referring to? Colonies Chris (talk) 11:58, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I expect it'll be this one, where I repeatedly asked you for an example of how these links were useful to you, and you repeatedly chose not to provide an example and claimed that you had answered the question before (but you hadn't). If they're so useful that you;re prepared to fight to keep them, why don't you just provide an example and then we can have a worthwhile discussion? Colonies Chris (talk) 17:07, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That was one, there has been at least one other. Why not drop the stick, move on and do something more useful and constructive, as I fully intend to. - SchroCat (talk) 17:09, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, here we go again. Once again I ask you for an actual example of a publisher link being useful to you, as you have claimed, and once again you avoid the question. It's getting pretty hard to WP:AGF on this. Colonies Chris (talk) 21:49, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I see little faith in your harrassment over this issue. As with the Jacques article, the consensus was against you there and it's time to move on from here too. - SchroCat (talk) 21:57, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why no writer inbox

[edit]

User:SchroCat can you explain why you won't allow a character inbox on AJ Raffles or a writer inbox for E. W. Hornung? Dwanyewest (talk) 14:39, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a question of me "allowing" or not. I think we had the same discussion five years ago on this? Has anything changed in that time to necessitate an IB now? - SchroCat (talk) 14:43, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:SchroCat if we have had this conversation before I apologise. But why don't you think E. W. Hornung should have a writer inbox? Dwanyewest (talk) 15:12, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I tell you what, why don't you tell me why it should have an IB? - SchroCat (talk) 15:48, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
