I agree the article shouldn't be deleted, but surely it should be trimmed. As it is, it reeks of self-promotion; it has every single thing he's ever published, several times over (mentioned in the article, listed by year, and usually mentioned in a review listing). It may be the most detailed author article on Wikipedia; it's surely the most detailed about a writer nobody but the most fanatical readers of modern poetry has ever heard of. What would be the loss in reducing it to the first paragraph plus a list of books (not individual poems!) published?--Languagehat 15:52, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
As usual, Languagehat has it - this is like a press release, none of which is noteworthy. --Waxbanks 00:13, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't understand. What should be in the article, since it is so inadequate now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.169.192.4 (talk) 03:22, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
10 years later, I still agree that this article reads like a Resumé. I just finished a book of his, it was good, but I believe this article needs to be cleaned up to be more neutral. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.11.68.177 (talk) 03:01, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The only places I can find that reference this book are here and Ball's website. It's not on Amazon, and it's supposed publisher, Vintage, doesn't list it on their homepage, either. If this book exists, please tell me where, cause I'd like to read it, otherwise, it has no place in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seemoreglass09 (talk • contribs) 03:11, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
