[edit]Where does all this genealogy come from? Wetman 16:29, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I think it comes from I, Claudius Kuralyov 01:36, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Most of it comes from Tacitus. I, Claudius based a lot of its infomation on Tacitus, Suetonius and Dio.--Sophie-Lou 16:43, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
According to Etruscan language, she was ethnic Etruscan. Is that true? if so, it should be noted here, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mountolive (talk • contribs) 22:26, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Giantess…?
[edit]In I, Claudius, Graves makes a lot of her being very ugly, of huge size, with massive hands and feet - it is noted her name is the feminine form of Hercules, and suggested that her size and strength allowed her to pick up, carry and throw through a window her sister-in-law. Is there any historic basis for this depiction, or was it a fiction for the book, perhaps drawn from her name? Was she perhaps a sufferer of acromegaly/ Whatever, as Graves’s book is probably the way in which most people are introduced to her, it would seem that some indication one way or the other would be helpful.
