Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose to merger Larry Craig scandal with Larry Craig. I think the content can be easily accommodated on the main article. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 18:30, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose I think that these two articles are separately notable and it wouldn't make sense to fill Craig's article with too many fine details of the scandal.  Mysterymanblue  09:39, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The scandal at the time gained significant media attention and was a notable event. Given how the length of this article is basically the same as the article for the scandal it would not make sense to merge. JayJayWhat did I do? 02:15, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose It was a notable event in U.S. political history. The implications for LGBTQ, free speech, and American electoral politics, Senate ethics, etc. could not be adequately covered in the main Larry Craig article. There doesn't seem to be consensus for a merger, and this merger proposal is eight months old. Can the merger flag be removed now? Minnemeeples (talk) 19:18, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT politicians category

[edit]

Now that we know that Senator Craig was, at the very least, a bi/pansexual if not a gay man, wouldn't it be right to categorise him as such? Sorry if this isn't right, not too familiar with such categories. Tony Polari (talk) 21:09, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

He has not identified as bi/pansexual or gay. That's what we go by. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 21:48, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kinda sucks but I guess it makes sense. No arguments on whether or not a historical figure was gay or not, no guessing basically. Cheers. Tony Polari (talk) Tony Polari (talk) 17:03, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
