Confusing
[edit]- This is the most confusing category ever. Why are there lists with duplicate categories? I'm also trying to include "composers by nationality" to this category and its not working, please help. This is probably the worst category I've had to navigate yet. What's with the alphabetization on this page?
[edit]- Half the composers are listed by FIRST name!!! Is there a global way to fix this? LorenzoPerosi1898 06:10, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
How about we have the Composers category consist only of subcategories
[edit]- e.g. Category:Composers by nationality, Category:Composers by era, etc.? --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 18:47, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
should categories be plural or singular?

Why is the composer category divided by gender?
[edit]It could be argued that composers should all be in one category, composers, regardless of gender. Given that the majority of Wikipedia articles on composers are about men, the category Male composers becomes like a main composer category. Compare this with the recent controversy over women American novelists being recategorized as Women American novelists (although that case was different in that men were kept in the American novelist category). What if we decided to categorize composers by sexual iorientation? We would have a category of Heterosexual composers (with a huge number of composers) and a category called LGBQ composers, with just a handful of articles.OnBeyondZebrax • TALK 12:14, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
