Is this legit? Original research? This is really NOT my field of expertise but from googling, it seems a moderatly used term, although not as a replacement for the term "artificial intelligence", but as a subtopic of it. Rhymeless 02:13, 9 Aug 2004 (UTC)

- redirect sounds reasonable to me as well. google search finds Machine Understanding Research Group at MIT and some other university links (3,160 hits total, but not all relevant). Certainly legit, not sure if it merits its own article but redirect is certainly fine. Andris 12:52, Aug 9, 2004 (UTC)
